House Minority whip Hon. Ali Isa resigns from PDP
The Minority Whip Of The House Of Representatives and a Member Representing Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency, in Gombe State Hon. Ali Isa has resigned his membership of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect.
Ali Isa’s resignation letter dated April 14, 2026 was addressed to the Chairman,
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kindiyo Ward, Cham,
Balanga Local Government Area, Gombe State
He said his decision was compelled by the way and manner some undemocratic forces have hijacked the party for reasons that are contrary to the founding principles and philosophy of the party which created a factional leadership
He noted that after series of rigorous consultations with his family, political associates, friends, and relevant stakeholders, he has arrived at the conclusion that the path to his spolitical future, as well as the political future of the great people who gave him the mandate to represent them at the House of Representatives, lies outside the PDP.
“It is my firm belief that the people of my constituency deserve a platform on which their interests and political future will be better guaranteed”, he said.
“I wish to sincerely thank its leadership and membership for giving me the platform on which the people of Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency gave me the wonderful opportunity to represent them at the National Assembly. I will ever remain grateful, and wish you all the best”, the letter reads in part.
