100 Years of Edumoga Chiefdom: Adokwu Advocates for Unity and Development.
The National President of Saint Mathew Edumoga Catholic Community (SMECC), Mr Sunday Adokwu has advocated for untainted peace and unity as panacea for even development in Edumoga land.
Adokwu made the appeal at the sidelines of the ongoing centenary celebration of Edumoga Chiefdom and cultural Festival holding at Olanyega, in Okpokwu Local government area of Benue state.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the start of the week long event, he said the district has over the years lacked the needed peace and unity because of cultism, kidnapping and other vices which he said were inimical to meaningful development.
Meanwhile, Business Africa Digest learnt that the centenary celebration and cultural Festival has entered it’s second day, which began yesterday with Mass at the Aokpe Pilgrimage centre.
