Chief Noah Mc’Dickson, the current Director, Contact and Mobilization of the Benue Rebirth Movement (BRM) has resigned his position.
The letter of resignation was dated January 18, 2025 and addressed to the National Coordinator of the Benue Rebirth Movement(BRM), and made available to Business Africa Digest in Abuja.
Chief Mc’Dickson noted that
as someone who values the rule of law and the importance of constitutional compliance, he can no longer continue to hold a leadership position in an organization that is not legally recognized by the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to him, recent developments have made it clear that the organization’s status as a legally recognized entity is being called to question, especially the rejection of BRM’s application by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) which has significant implications for its operations and legitimacy.
“Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation from my position as Director of Contact and Mobilization of the Benue Rebirth Movement (BRM), effective from 18th, January, 2025”, Chief Noah Mc’Dickson said.
Oyaluwa K’Idoma who also doubles as the Ochagwuba K’Aokpe noted that as a founding member of BRM, he has been deeply committed to the organization’s vision and mission, adding that his resignation is in no way a reflection on the ideals and aspirations of the BRM, which he still deeply believes but will continue to promote the unity and progress of the Idoma kingdom.
He however appreciated the opportunity given to him to serve, and wish the organization all the best in its future endeavors.
