China Sympathizes with Nigeria, lauds Buhari’s Efforts in China-Nigeria ties
The Peoples Republic of China has condoled with Nigeria and immediate family of former President Muhammadu Buhari who passed on Sunday in London Clinic.
A statement from the foreign Affairs Ministry on its X handle and made available to Business Africa Digest in Abuja, said Former President Muhammadu Buhari was a preeminent leader.
The statement notes that he led his country and the people of Nigeria to great achievement in national development, adding that Buhari was a dear friend of the Chinese people, and made important contribution to China-Nigeria friendship, cooperation and overall bilateral ties.
“We mourn for President Buhari’s passing and offer our deepest sympathies to the government and people of Nigeria and to his family”, the statement said
Meanwhile, the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria extends its deepest condolences to the people of Nigeria on the passing of Nigeria’s former president, Muhammadu Buhari.
The embassy in a statement said Buhari was a resolute leader whose unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s unity and progress left an enduring legacy.
The statement said Buhari’s pivotal contributions to advancing China-Nigeria relations will forever remain etched in “our shared history.”
“Our thoughts are with his family and Nigerian people,” the statement added.
