Reacting to the numerous defections from opposition parties to the APC, Ayodele warned members of the ruling party not to rejoice over the large number of politicians joining the party.

The cleric in a statement issued on Thursday by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin said most of those decamping to the APC would serve as destructive tools to the existence of the party.

According to the Prophet, some of the decamped politicians have ulterior motives for joining the APC and as such will not relent until their purpose is served.

“Many people decamping to the APC are just wasting their time; it just shows they are not capable of making their party better.

“They are the ones who will cause problems at the party. The APC shouldn’t rejoice till after the election because the presidential election will teach a lot of lessons,” Ayodele said.

In addition to the warning, the cleric also noted that some of those decamping would fail in their political pursuit after joining the ruling party as the 2027 elections would not be business as usual in Nigeria.

“Some of the decampees will fail in their states, lessons will be learnt because it is not going to be a usual thing. The election won’t be won by the number of decampees,” the cleric added.
