The NDLEA patrol team intercepted the pregnant girls along the Aba/Owerri road while they were being transported from Naze to Ikenegbu in Owerri. The girls, aged between 15 and 17, claimed they have no idea who impregnated them.

The rescued victims have been identified as Chioma Emmanuel (15 years old), Uma Faith (15), Divine Adimonye (17), Opara Gift (15), and Amarachi Mbata (16).

The Imo State Command of the NDLEA has been instructed to hand over the girls to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for further investigation.

This rescue operation highlights the ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and protect vulnerable individuals from exploitation in Nigeria.
