Obasa, Lagos Speaker Impeached
Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Monday impeached the Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa.
The lawmakers accused Obasa of multiple statutory and financial infractions.
Business Africa Digest reports that the lawmakers replaced Obasa with his Deputy, Lasbat Meranda.
Meranda, who represents Apapa Constituency 1, was also a former chief whip of the House.
