Peter Obi Quits PDP
Dr Peter Obi, a presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, and former Governor of Anambra State, has dumped the party.
Obi announced his quit from PDP in a letter to the National Chairman of PDP, Dr Iyorchia Ayu.
In the letter, Obi said he was writing to inform Ayu of his resignation from the PDP, which he had already conveyed to the chairman of PDP, Agulu Ward 1, Aniocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
“I am writing to intimate you of my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, which was conveyed to the chairman of Agulu Ward 2, Aniocha LG, Anambra with effect from 20 May.
“Consequently, I am by this letter informing you of my withdrawal from the PDP Presidential primaries,” Obi said.
