Yahaya Bello reconciles with Ohinoyi of Ebiraland
The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Ado Ibrahim, has finally resolved his rift with the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.
Recall that the Kogi government had a few weeks ago queried the first class monarch over his decision to shun President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Okene.
It was, however, gathered that a peace meeting took place at the burial of the late Tafida of Ebira Land, Dr. Abdulazeez Farooq, on Thursday in Okene, with the Paramount Traditional Ruler promising to accompany and support every step so far taken by the Governor in the interest of the Ebira nation.
Dr. Ado Ibrahim assured of his support for all the programmes and policies of Gov. Bello’s administration.
The Ohinoyi, who described Bello as his “first son”, thanked God for making him governor over the State.
The traditional ruler also appreciated God for installing him in the 90s as the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.
He pledged to support the governor to succeed and finish tenure of office early next year.
He .regretted the rift that came between them and said there was need for them to forgive each other’s wrongs and work together for the development of Ebiraland and the state in general.
“As my “first son”, it becomes imperative for me to let the governor know every step I take to for the peace and development of Ebiraland
“It’s more important that we settle for the sake of God and in honour of the late Dr.Farooq, ” the Ohinoyi said
Responding, Gov. Yahaya Bello assured that till the expiration of his administration, this will be the last time a rift will ensue between him and the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.
